Coral Baja is one of Worldmark by Wyndham timeshare resorts. There’s a bus that runs between San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. It doesn’t follow a schedule; it doesn’t stop at bus stops. You just stand and wave when you see it. The bus runs every 15 minutes or so. "It just comes when it comes, señor. No worries, señorita." Of course, you don’t really need a bus to get around. Your resort is centrally located, just three miles from the quieter of the two Cabos, San José del Cabo. With tree-lined boulevards and 18th-century buildings, the town maintains the air of a quaint Mexican village.

Felt like home straight away! Rooms were very nice, and all appliances in units were new. (Kenmore).
Rattan furniture had been recovered or was new.
New mattress was installed on our third day there, and was VERY comfortable. (All mattresses were being replaced).

Plants, garden area well maintained.
Water pressure was good, and we drank the tap water without problems.

A review of the property was underway – men were inspecting the buildings, surroundings, etc. Floor tiles in elevators needed replacing.

Pool was refreshing. Temp. a bit inconsistent, but with a swim up bar, who could complain! It was clean and inviting. Hot tubs were great.

Pool had “toys” for the children.

Beach is safe, but swimming isn't!!! Saw some really strong men out there being pummelled by the waves. I would not allow any children in! Sometimes the waves are small, but you can suddenly get two or three boomers... they crash onto the beach sounding like explosions!

Keep an eye out for the whales and giant manta rays! You can see them from the balconies.

You can surf-fish from the beach. Make sure you have the right equipment. Bait used is usually fresh shrimp. The current brings even heavy weights back to shore.

Small putting green, tennis courts, ceramic painting, ping-pong, and volley-ball on the beach on-site.

Money exchange office in lobby for Canadian and US funds/Pesos.

Activities desk in lobby for sightseeing bookings/car rental.

Rental office had snorkeling gear @ $12 for the day.

Mama Mia’s (restaurant on site) -- every night was a theme night, with live music, but it wasn’t “over the top” noise wise. Two nights of jazz. New chairs had been delivered just as we left.

Breakfast/Brunch on Sunday was well worth it… $10 US for all you could eat, with cereals, pastries, fresh fruit, fresh juices, coffee and lots of egg/ham/mexican dishes. Made to order omelettes were available as well. Good value.

Great breakfasts available just outside the resort, on the main road. Subway, Sardina Cantina, burger joint, Dominoes Pizza all close by.
Walk-in medical clinic half a block away!
Didn’t try it, but Dante’s (close by) has a great reputation for ribs…. Huge rack for $14.00.
La Brisas next door in the Trailer Park has “all you can eat pig roast” on Thursdays for $20.00. Whole pig is roasted on the property. (I steered clear that day, in case they thought I was "IT"!) We had fish there one night – meals were big. You could doggy-bag some if you couldn’t eat it all.

Convenience to bus route excellent. (InterBaja). Buses were modern and airconditioned. They run to and from San Lucas. Fare to San Lucas is about $2.00 US, or 20 pesos. Highway is very busy. Pesos are the best currency, as you do not get change if you use US dollar bills.

Cabos San Lucas was a great place for walking around. The Marina is a lovely area, with lots of boats moored, and great fishing charter opportunites.

Going in the opposite direction this bus route takes you into San Jose. Get off at “Pescador”, a big junction. Stay on that side of the road and take the busy street at the junction. San Jose is about 1 km. away. Watch your footing!! Fare was 6 pesos.

San Jose is a beautiful little mexican town, with a lovely church. We were there when they celebrated with a huge festival. Had a fairground too, and lots of vendors selling authentic mexican handicrafts.

Just as you walk into San Jose, on the right hand side of that street, there is a cheap Internet location. 25/30 pesos for an hour. Watch your change.

For Soriano’s (a Mexican version of Wal-Mart), continue on the bus on the way to the airport/San Jose. We didn’t go there, but understand you can get a lot of your groceries/drinks there.

Bus drivers were courteous and polite and told us where to get off if we asked. I even had one young man get up and offer me his seat.

There's so much to do in Cabo. We were only there for 4 days and had a blast.

We talked to a lot of Worldmark owners that have been coming to Cabo for years during Christmas time. The restaurant at the resort was called Mama Mia's. They offered two buffets with cultural show twice a week, with dancing and music that was resonably priced.
Next year we're bring our christmas lights and celebrate in the sunshine.

Because we're timeshare owners with Worldmark we got discounts on jet skiing and horseback riding on the beach. My wife wasn't feeling wellon day so we hung around at the resort. We won at bingo and got free drinks at the poolside bar.

Trendwest also helped us book a rental car for the short drive into town. The roads are very easy drive. If you dont want to drive taxis are everywhere.
I recommend grocery shopping the first day of your trip. There is a mega store very clean and well stocked. We had cervesa in the fridge and BBQ fresh fish at night next to the ocean.
There were plenty of great places to eat at too. Just ask the Worldmark concierge. See you next Christmas!
